WHAT TO DO IN THE GORGE
We're so excited to celebrate with you! Whether you're looking for adventure, a leisurely afternoon, or simply a great meal with a view, we hope you'll have a chance to explore the Columbia River Gorge!
THE HOOD RIVER FRUIT LOOP
One of the Gorge's signature experiences, the Hood River Fruit Loop winds through orchards, vineyards, lavender fields, cideries, wineries, and farm stands with views of Mt. Hood. Plan on 3–5 hours if you'd like to make several stops.
Key Fruit Loop Stops: Draper Girls Country Farm, Mt. View Orchards, Grateful Vineyard, Wy'East Vineyards
THE HIKING
Wahclella Falls – A short, scenic hike through lush forest leading to one of the Gorge's most beautiful waterfalls.
Horsetail Falls – An iconic waterfall just steps from the parking area, making it perfect for a quick stop.
Twin Tunnels Trail – Explore this paved stretch of the Historic Columbia River Highway with incredible views of the Gorge.
Eagle Creek Trail – One of the Gorge's classic hikes, featuring waterfalls, and moss-covered cliffs. Hike as far as you'd like before turning around.
Multnomah Falls – Oregon's most famous waterfall and a must-see if it's your first visit to the Gorge. Visit early in the morning or later in the day to avoid the biggest crowds.
EXPLORE DOWNTOWN HOOD RIVER
Spend an afternoon wandering downtown's boutiques, bookstores, galleries, coffee shops, and restaurants.
Local Tip: One of our favorite things about Hood River? You can grab a beer, cider, or cocktail to go and enjoy it as you wander downtown or walk to the waterfront. Just ask your bartender for a to-go drink. Cheers!

WATERFRONT HANGS
The Hood River Waterfront Park is one of the best places to take in the scenery. Grab a seat by the river to watch kiteboarders and windsurfers (Hood River is the windsurfing capital of the world!!). On a clear day, you'll have incredible views across the Columbia River and toward Mt. Adams.
ENJOY YOUR TIME IN THE GORGE
We're so grateful you made the trip to celebrate with us and hope you have a chance to experience a little of what makes this place so special.
TRAVEL & ACCOMMODATIONS
The closest airport is Portland, OR (PDX). From there, the drive to Hood River is a little bit less than an hour.
When booking accommodations, we suggest looking as close to downtown Hood River as possible as that's where the required guest transportation to and from the venue will be coordinated from - specifically picking up from the Best Western and the Lightwell. It's also where the welcome party on Thursday evening will be held.
This is not an exhaustive list, so feel free to book other places you find as well! There are also plenty of Airbnbs available.
LIGHTWELL HOTEL & SPA
Where the bride and groom + family are staying! Great little hotel downtown, but there is a four night minimum so great so folks who want to explore on the front or back of the trip.
